LUXURY BALI

Below is the proposed program for the Bali trip. This is a luxury trip at an extremely affordable price! We guarantee this trip will spoil you silly! So give yourself the well deserved break and book the tickets to history, shopping and glowing skin! J

ITINERARY

Day One:

The first thing you will notice just before the plane touches the Denpasar Airport in Bali is the blue water and the island specks…and you will realize paradise is no myth! Be whisked away directly from the waiting immigration lines (don’t let the envious looks bother you!) to the waiting vehicle! While you sip your water/soft drink/wine and taste the exotic fruits, a scenic three hour drive will take you to the lovely area of Lovina (North Bali). Once you have comfortably settled down, the remainder of the day is free for you to unwind from the journey and indulge in your Balinese massage or simply drinks in the ocean view and plantation style surroundings from your mountain top, before settling down for a lovely organic dinner at candle-lit tables.

Day  Two:

We have an early start for a hike in the woods accompanied by the local villagers to discover a hidden waterfall and natural swimming pool surrounded by tall trees. Don’t forget to pack that swimsuit and remember not to miss the rich view of terraced rice paddy fields! After that trek, you will be starving! Eat at a local restaurant to taste authentic Balinese cuisine. Do not forget to try the simple yet tasty Nasi goreng – both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are yum! After lunch, we will explore three ancient temples before heading back to the hotel for the night. You can either have dinner at Lovina or back in the hotel with its verdant green surroundings!

Day Three:

Set out for a dolphin sighting trip (weather permitting). The best time to see the dolphins is early morning. After a lovely breakfast, we will explore the local manuscript and comic museum before heading to discover the town and catch some shopping. Post lunch we will discover another delightful temple before ending the day with a visit to the centre for manufacturing musical instruments. Nearby are the cold water springs which the local believe cures all illness and the Temple of the Hollow stone.

Day Four:

After a hearty breakfast, we set off to visit the Tukit Saba National Forests. The more adventurous ones can snorkel while the others can laze on the island. This is a definite highlight of the trip! Lunch will be on the delightful picnic.  After exploring an old hilltop temple with breathtaking views, we will head to the resort for some rest and relaxation. Indulge in your Balinese massage and safari before treating yourself to an authentic Balinese cuisine. The night will be at the resort.

Day Five

After a lovely breakfast, we drive to Ubud. Today is relatively slow paced – to give you time to recover from all the excitement of the last few days! Upon reaching Ubud, we will have lunch. We will hit the town where you can choose among visiting the Neka Art Museum, foot reflexology (highly recommended!!), massages (you can book your complimentary massage at the hotel also! But there is a limit…so book soon!) and shopping. Come back to the hotel to relax and enjoy Balinese cake and tea. The evening will include the shadow puppet program at the hotel exclusively arranged for the Travelling Sisterhood! Explore the town at night and choose any cuisine you desire from the innumerable choices!

Day Six

Today we head to see one of the few active volcanoes in the world from a distance (hopefully clouds will not mar the view)! Post lunch (served at a hilltop restaurant overlooking the mountain), we proceed to one of the few Brahma temples in the world (again, you will be exercising those legs). After that it is back to our hotel for the evening cuppa. Pamper yourself with your complimentary massage if you haven’t already! For the evening, soak in the Balinese cultural dance before enjoying a quiet dinner or spending the evening in town exploring the shops!

Day Seven

Once we wrap up Breakfast, start the day with the cooking class. Post lunch, we will drive to Tanah Lot which is one of the most venerated temples in Bali.  Back to Ubud, we will have a charming barbeque dinner accompanied by 2 musicians rindik bamboo gambelan.

Day Eight

Today the elephant safari awaits where we guarantee a thrilling time! Post lunch at the Elephant camp, we head for a quick freshening up before we explore the Ceking village famous for the terrace rice field! Do not forget to sip the coconut water! For the evening, we will enjoy some retail therapy in the local markets of Ubud before catching our seats at the cultural program for the night. Rest of the evening is free for you!

Day Nine

We get an early start to head to Kuta where you can either get ready to take your beginner’s surfing class or a walk on the beach! Kuta is also known for its great shopping! Post lunch and check-in at a lovely hotel in Seminyak, we drive to Uluwatu to see the breathtaking cliff side of Pura Luhur Ulu Watu. We will soon settle down to watch the sunset and the quick beats of the Kecak dance held against the backdrop of the enchanting temple. Once back in Semiyak, you have the evening free to explore the pulsating nightlife (Ku De Ta is a definite hit!).

Day Ten

Today is free for you to finish any last minute shopping at Seminyak and packing. After fond farewells to the hotel staff, we proceed to the airport to head back home…till the next journeyJ
